Description:
Engineering, design review, construction,
commissioning, operation and training of
new, completely operational, wastewater
pumping station F5 inside Fallujah, 50 kilometers
west of Baghdad including the pumps and
motors, emergency generators, and transformers
for the pump station. Notwithstanding the
demanding security situation at the time,
the depth of the station of about 20 meters
and very high water table were some of construction
challenges for this project.
Staff
details: A site office with highly
experienced engineers and technicians managing
the site activity was established. Outside
Iraq, offices supported the project by purchasing
equipment.
The Baghdad
and Amman offices both supported vital administration
and correspondence needs. The site staff
was entirely comprised of locals from Fallujah
to encourage employment in conflict affected
area. Beside hundreds of skilled and unskilled
workers, a total of 15 engineers, 29 technicians
and 10 administrative support staff were
all part of the successful completion of
this project.
